 Chapter 51: Jamian
You can all thank Wysteria for the extra chapter - she spent her Stamps on it! ~Lyn

 Re: Chapter 51: Jamian
And I got Jamian, mirrors and explications (spelled badly deliberately, by the way), for my trouble! I win. I win a lot. Yay.
*happy sigh*
On the chapter: I really like Jamian's level-headedness. Getting to know Joff seems like it's going to be fun. I /really/ daydream about a set of chibi pictures of our main characters. Jamian as a chibi picture would be the most adorable little goat-horned person ever.

"It was as if VanderLinden and Ivette really wanted him to understand the importance of the color purple, but yet they had never, themselves, seen purple".
I love this quote entirely too much. xD I'd be willing to say it's one of my favourite quotes in the entire story so far.

 Re: Chapter 51: Jamian
I also find it fascinating that despite his self-esteem/gender issues, Jamian is probably the most stable and, for lack of a better word, "together" major character. When he's not being screwed around by having accidentally gotten himself Owned, he's actually a really level-headed and competent sort of individual, isn't he?
Unrelated: Did he actually get to take his shower, or was the whole interrupted-mirror-staring thing beforehand? It really sucks if he didn't even get the chance to take a shower.

I love that he thinks his tail is kinda badass.

 Re: Chapter 51: Jamian
Aside from a chip on his shoulder about being a freak, yes. And since he never embraced his freakishness the way Sheen did, he's getting over it much more quickly. Nope, he never got his shower. L

 Re: Chapter 51: Jamian
Regarding the chip on his shoulder: I actually like Jamian's temper better than I like Kailani's or Shahin's. Shahin is more inclined to excessively biting/defensive, and Kailani can't tell when she goes too far. Jamian, however, has a pretty healthy, "What the hell, man," thing going on, and can generally tell when he needs to shut up and/or apologize.

 Re: Chapter 51: Jamian
I loved the comparisons to purple and orange. Loved that. It worked so well.
I am also amused that he horns and tail are badass - it's the conventionally human parts like breasts that Jamian has issues with.
I'd ignore chibi art - I really hate that particular style, but if it makes other people happy...

 Re: Chapter 51: Jamian
I call for a round of wild mass guessing as to what Ty/a's problem is, before tonight's chapter gives Joff's answer. My list so far:
-She's pregnant and hormonal. -She'll get in trouble if Jamian steals souls. -She feels awkward about Jamian being full-blooded. -The Keeper/Kept bond has as much effect on the Keeper as on the Kept, and Tya is having trouble with that. -She's been enchanted to have massive moodswings. -The dragon did it.
The last two are a bit more of a leap, I admit.
